How did you get the dents out?

Also, what procedure did you use to polish it?

wood and a hammer , I laid the grill on a piece of wood and took another piece of wood and hit it with a hammer from the back side . Just like body work . Then I took my angle die grinder and put a green locok disc on and took off the old finish , Then I took a fine sanding pad wet sanded then I polished it with blue magic. I wiped it down got all the wax residue off and shot clear on it.

What exactly is a locok? I have a die grinder as well, but am not familiar with this.

Also, what grit of wet sanding did you use?

I ment to say a roloc by 3m. before I went over it with a fine pad I took 180 grit and went over it with that then the fine . I got this pad at Advance Auto parts where I work all it says is fine and its like a sponge.

Ahhh a roloc. What color? OOpps, I think you said green.

So after the green, you used a 180 grit, then the fine scothbrite pad you pictured?

What kind of black paint did you use on the black part of the grill. I want to redo my grill off my 70 chev, but I am afraid to get to agressive and scratch the finish. I guess I will just start with fine and work my way from there. Thanks for all the details it is lots of help to use newbie's!

Whew! I just started on my grill tonite! I have a 70 grill so it has a little more aluminum to go over. This is alot of work! My arm is already tired of sanding. Your grill looks great- I think you have to attempt this to really appreciate!
