Dually wheel tubs

I've never removed the tubs from a bed once I remove the filler strip that's on inside dose that open it up to gain access to to the nuts on the studs that hold on the tubs on to the bed side

Yes it will give you access to the nuts on the back side of the tubs but you will probably end up spinning the studs out of the tubs. I got the tubs off and then spent a lot of time spinning the nuts off with vice grips holding the studs. Then I used Speed Grip and spun them back into the tubs afte I got done bodyworking and priming the tubs.

Thanks the old bed I took off was something that was put together from aftermarket parts they drill holes on the in side of the bed to tighten the tub bolts the bed was junk there was more bondo then fiberglass on the tubs this bed is in great shape it only has a few small dents a surfs rust I taking the bed to get blasted the only thing is the hole for gooseneck hitch looks to far forward so might have weld it up and move it back

Do all the bed have these metal brackets I don't remember seen them on other beds I looked at

I have never seen those metal tabs befor. Those tubs are also glued on as well.

Yes it looks like it has a bead of seam seal around them

Thanks that help I just don't want to brake nothing if I can keep from it so I can reinstall after painting with out trying to track done parts that got broke
