Move rear end forward on S10 frame AD conversions?

I read in another thread of someone moving the rear diff 1" forward on the lowering blocks when using S10 frame swaps on AD trucks. Anyone done this? Does this center the rear wheels in the fenders?
Is the center line of the rear fenders between the brace screws?

Re: Move rear end forward on S10 frame AD conversions?

The answer depends on the s-10 frame you have.

A long bed standard cab frame wheel base
should be approx. 117.5 inches if I remember correctly which is about perfect.

An extended cab sort bed is too long and the rear end would need to move fwd.
