Neutral safety switch questions.Help!

Ok. I noticed my backup lights weren't coming on anymore so I suspected the neutral safety/backup light switch. pulled the old one and one of the teeth were broken off. I have a new one coming tomorrow. I wanted to drive the truck to town to get it...put the old one back in and doh...no start condition..will I be able to adjust it at all to make it start with just one tooth left? maybe a tutorial is in order! please help...daily driver and only transportation to get new part.

Thanks in advance,

Re: Neutral safety switch questions.Help!

You could slide it over to start it but it is easier to take a short wire and loop the square connector with the purple wires together and it will start.
