CL: BHM, AL (Nice 1971 Ramp Truck $3k)
http://tuscaloosa.craigslist.org/cto/5108116962.html
Actually it's 1 hour west of birmingham. I was going to buy it then I changed my mind, I have too many toys as it is. No affiliation and I haven't seen the truck in person. "As is 1971 Chevy C-30 Ramp truck. Very tough hauler, needs flywheel have the new starter. The truck has a rebuilt 350 engine, new alternator, new brake booster and master cylinder, Edelbrock carburetor. The ramp bed is 18 1/2 foot long by 7 1/2 foot wide. Also has a Mile Marker winch with about 40 to 50 feet of cable, 4 chain tie down points what ever you haul is guaranteed not to go anywhere. No hydraulics to worry about. Has good tires. Can be pull started so you can drive it away. Price is negotiable within reason. PHONE CALLS ONLY!!!!!! IF YOU TEXT OR E-MAIL ME I WILL NOT RESPOND. My number is in the contact info above." |

I love the add on ac with the knobs that would match the factory type radio. Other than the wrong grille[for the year] it is a really sharp looking hauler for the money. Jim

It's been on CL for a few months, if someone that is really far away and is interested in the truck (seriously interested, I have to ad), then PM me and I may find some time to go look at it (no promise, lol). It's 1 hour from my work. Heck, I may even go this weekend and pick her up.

I wish I wasn't getting ready for a single income. Man how I could use this. And make her pretty

That is a pretty cool truck. It would be a great one to restore. Just a bit too far away for me though.

Not a big fan of the ramp trucks. Too "one use only" for me, but would not take much to cut that off, shorten the frame up, put a widened step side bed on, and only paint the rear. $4,000 you would be into a pretty nice little 1 ton dually.

Actually I would like to buy it to make it a one long flatbed. Having a ramp truck will mean carrying more wheeled or non-wheeled stuff home and my wife will kill in the middle of my sleep.

I build fire pits as a hobby and I am constantly hauling older propane tanks. It would be perfect as is to slide a couple tanks on and ease to the house. Also haul my 65 fastback around on!!!!

Yah, I've been needlin' my elder brother to go snag this one. He's only a couple hours away and always has a 'project' or two that needs hauling.
I would jump on it but I don't have anyplace to stash it. Would be a seriously fun project. I need another project like I need the pox.
