Lightbulb My New Project!!! LWB to SWB

Good evening !
I am taking a 71 c/10 LWB and making it into a SWB. I am going for a custom shortbed... honestly it will end up looking like a Blazer .

I made the first front Bed cuts today. 14" out of the front and 10" out of the rear, and yes I do have plans to make all of the rear bed lines match up.

Once the Bed is all cut and welded back together then I will take the bed off and cut down the frame 14" and move the crossmember forward and connect the suspention.

Only thing left to do after that is get a custom driveline !

am I CRAZY ???????? We'll see ?

not sure about your truck, but when I did my 68, I took only 12" out of middle of frame. You might double measure before you cut. Is blazer diff?

If you can post some more details on the floor mods that would be great. I have a wood floor but would like to install a steel one. I have a cherry long bed floor so I am wondering how this will work out.
