Wheel bases

I wasn't able to find any previous posts but that doesn't mean much. I am looking to make my truck 4x4 but I want to know the different wheel bases for everything k20/k30 that includes suburbans and crewcabs.

Re: Wheel bases

The cheapest way is to sell your truck and buy a 4x4 one.To swap it you need a 4x4 truck for parts and swap over a lot of it.The suspension the steering the trans the t case both driveshafts and the trans tunnel in the cab needs to be changed out.

Re: Wheel bases

I understand that but I have been instructed not to sell my truck. So I can't do that, but I can modify it as much as I want.

Re: Wheel bases

Man, that is a lot of work. I'd just get a junk 454 and start building it and make a badass hotrod C20!

Re: Wheel bases

My overall goal for the truck is diesel and to tow what ever I want. It will act as tow/recovery truck.
I drove a 03 f450 with a 12 foot utility bed from socal to Portland last summer and I want to recreate that with a flat bed.

Re: Wheel bases

By the way it already has a 400hp sbc that will get vortec fuel injection and I will run that until I can afford a diesel.
