Need parts help for power steering conversion

I bought CaptFab's adapter plate. I know I need 73+ gear box and pitman arm. I will be using an A/C compressor too. My question is what is the correct pulley configuration for the 350 sbc set up? If you know, please be exact. Pictures would be great too. Thank you ahead of time.

If you are still using the long water pump that came in the Camaro, then to simplify it you will need pulleys and AC brackets for a '70 Camaro. I'm not sure if the pulleys on the Camaro engine will have the extra groove for the AC belt. Maybe if you post pics of what you have, it will be easier to help.

I took the box with Pitman arm and shaft from a 67 and it worked OK, along with the bracket modification.

For the pulley set up probably the easiest might be to cruise the junkyards to find a compatible part.

Re: Need parts help for power steering conversion

If it worked in the camero it will all work in your truck. except that that the fan location will not be right if you decide to run a stock type shroud. use the 73 p/s box and pitman arm

Re: Need parts help for power steering conversion

There's no reason the '70 Camaro PS pump and even an A/C compressor and it's brackets won't work. To add A/C you will need a different water pump pulley and possibly a crank pulley. I'm really not sure on the pulley needs for A/C on a long water pump small block.

In case you do not know, all trucks '72 and earlier originally came with short water pumps. Consequently certain factory application parts will not work quite right. You will also have to move your alternator wiring to the passenger side.
