speaker question

My wife has a small nissan truck. My question is she doesn't have spkrs in it. The holes in the doors where they go are approx a little bit over 5 inches in diameter. What size spkrs do I need to look for to put in her truck.

Thanks
Tommy Davis

I think there 5x8 somewhere around there you might want to see if someone might have a old speaker that size and give it a try.

If it is round then it is a 5.25"

I agree with pd, if they're round holes, they're 5 1/4" most likely.

Also, crutchfield has a chart that tells you what speakers should be in your vehicle. Here's the link: (if the link doesn't work, just go to www.crutchfield.com and select "what fits my car" over on the left side about half way down.) http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...01&vehicleid=0

Good luck Tommy.

speakers

I did that crutchfield link and it told me I am supposed to have 6.25 size spkrs. There is no way. Her spkr hole on the doors is only about 5 inches.

5-1/4" should be it, a 6-1/2 would probably be too deep. Make sure your measure depth before replacing them you don't want the window to hit the back of the speaker
