Have what you now own rebuilt. The later 700's were a lot tougher than the earlier ones and most of the performance parts for the '60E will fit. The '60E won't work without a controller.

If you can find one, a 200-4R is tough when built. They're not easy to find, though.

There's something wrong if you went through 3 rebuilds. The rebuilder isn't doing something right, the cooler isn't working properly, the TV cable is adjusted properly, or the truck is being abused.
There is nothing wrong with a later 700r4. |

Re: Which tranny is best for 350 ?
There are 4L60E's living behind 600hp LS engines on the street, parts are available to make 'em live. Next step is a 4L80E, it'll take everything you can throw at it but needs an electronic controller.
I'm not a tranny guy, but I know that there's a trick with the 3-4 clutch pack that seems to help on the 700/60E's. |

Guys, consider where he lives. They don't rebuild 700R4's over there very often compared to America I'd assume.
My suggestion is to buy a built 700R4 from a well known builder in the US and have it shipped over. Make sure you run a transmission cooler as big as you can fit.
