Need help figuring out what brackets to use SBC LWP

I have a 70 K20 with a SBC LWP setup. It uses the typical LWP passenger side alternator mount.

I am going to add an aftermarket sanden style compressor and want to put it on the passenger side to keep the hose length down. So far, all of the alan grove & other aftermarket brackets I've seen use the same bolt on the water pump as the AC compressor brackets I'd need.

I guess I'd like to see some pics of what anybody with the LWP swap has used if you added aftermarket AC systems.

How about switching to '96-99 Vortec Serpentine brackets? That would put the alternator left and a/c compressor more toward the right and allow for that style compressor?

I guess that is not at all out of the question, depending on cost.. any idea on the $$ outlay requirement? I need new belts and pullies as it stands now anyway, and the alan grove brackets are $100 or so each. Plus I think my PS bracket is a SWP that has been shimmed so it is not ideal.

Guessing I would also have to get a later PS pump as the bracket would not accept an older Saginaw pump?

Re: Need help figuring out what brackets to use SBC LWP

A bit of a late response but when I purchased my truck it had a 350 with LWP, PS, and a passenger side sanden compressor. The bracket kit was Alan Grove and I happen to have the p/n instructions/paperwork. I removed the brakets and boxed them up when I got a vortec w/serpentine setup so no pictures available but I could post some picture of the paperwork if it helps.

I got a SWEET serpentine system from tll74 on here. Very nice fellow to deal with. He even goes through a component you want and makes sure it is working he also blast the parts and it arrives looking like a what GM dealer would hand you across the counter.

Very nice fellow to deal with and he knows what you need.
