Does anyone have photos of their trucks from back in the day when they were new?

Title says it all, it would be awesome to see some old photos. Unfortunately all I have of mine is an identical truck in the '75 GMC brochure.

Here is one of my Dad with his truck in '82 the day he brought it home from Regina and one of it today, recently restored and retired to weekend drives duties.

MSRP was $12,140; I paid the $9954 with discounts.

$525 destination charge....even though it was 13 miles from the assembly plant to the selling dealership.

I like how they spelled my name wrong.

Nice to see that you still have your dad's truck. I wish I could get my hands on my dad's old '76 Silverado w/454. It was buckskin w/cream in the middle and roof. It was a sharp truck. He traded it in on a new '81 Silverado. That '81 truck sucked IMO!! The seat wasn't as comfy as the '76.

You mentioned an identical truck in the brochure: I'm pretty sure the inspiration for lil Red came from somewhere between my red '86 Suburban and this picture from the '86 literature -

How about new pictures of a truck just like it was back in the day? I'm a little confused by the firewall color though, I don't think I've ever seen a stock paint square body with a non body color firewall.

That is/was a bad ass truck!! Just like I remember many of them. I really love the Charger fuel cap idea. That is too cool. I think I will borrow it for mine. I am restoring mine to be a period correct street rod in 1978 to 1980. I doing mine up as I would have if I owned it back in the day.

yeah, makes me think about him and grin every time I jump into it. Know what you mean about the seats. Dad's was really uncomfortable even though it still looks and feels like new. I've replaced it with buckets and a console from a late 70's model. way better.
