2001 Silverado. No power to door lock switch or power mirrow switch. Help?

I can't get power to the door lock switch or the mirror switch. Any help? I have checked all the fuses I can find.

Anyone? I don't want to just go buying relays and start throwing parts at it. It seems everything else that is supposed to have power has it. Is there something that these two share?

I know you said you checked all the fuses, did you check the small amp fuse inside the left hand side of the dash? It is like a 3 or 5 amp if memory serves me. Jim

Re: 2001 Silverado. No power to door lock switch or power mirrow switch. Help?

I switched out the entire fuse box from another used vehicle and that gave me power to door locks. Then I found a loose wire that was keeping power from the mirrors. Problem solved.

Now I just need to find a wiring diagram or something that will show me how the door shut sensor works.

If your having a problem like the dome lamp staying on or the radio NOT shutting off when you open the door, you need to change out the door latch/lock actuator. Jim

Re: 2001 Silverado. No power to door lock switch or power mirrow switch. Help?

Yeah that is the issue. I can switch off ignition and get out and radio keeps going...

However, the kicker to all this is that I am not using 99-06 doors. I am using the wiring harness from a 2001 to power my 87 with 91 doors. I already have the windows, locks and mirrors working and that is the last bit I have to figure out..
