'63 Step-side -- Rear Wheel Width -- Tires
I'm trying to find out the widest tire that I can fit on my sons '63 step-side, with an original 12 bolt rearend.
Starting with the wheel... What width/backspacing/offset? Tires... Widest tire that will fit without any modifications? I.E. tubs/narrowing Thanks |

Some angle iron, ready rod, nuts and a tape measure and measure it yourself.
Just like this. http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/wheels-...heels-fitment/ |

I would say a 275/60/15 is a good choice.15x8 with 4.5 bs. Measure for sure. Depending on rim some offsets aren't true.
Did have 31x10.5x15 on one. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=624351
