Getting rid of Headlight Harness??
My headlights have been cutting in and out. I know it's because the headlight harnesses are loose. I've tried to duct tape them to the headlight to keep them in there, but it hasn't helped.
Has anyone just gotten rid of the harness and connected the wires directly to the headlight using electrical connectors? Would this work?

Yes Spade connectors will work, but you will have to cover them or get the ones that are covered, don't want it to short out. Have you tried bending the tabs on the headlight.

I haven't looked at the connectors recently, so I may be off base on this. Can the contact be removed from the connector? Do they have a release tab on each one? If so, remove each prong from the connector, and spread the contact out so it is tighter against the headlight prong...

pigtails are available, these are from Chevy Duty, but I have seen them in the HELP section at auto parts stores also.

The HELP harnesses suck. Beware.
