I guess I'm in the 6 speed club too! Though I only got 3 in the truck.

67fleet, I have that exact shift knob in my car!

Bell housing? What one did ya use?
I used the bellhousing that came with my 3 speed on the tree. It is cast iron. I used the entire stock clutch assembly. None of the hydraulic stuff.
Here is the part# and gear ratios
Model no. Size Weight lbs/kg Torque cap GVW/GCW Ratios - 1st - 6th & Rev.

1386-000-011 85 115-129/52.2-58.5 450/610 3,327/1,509 2.97 2.07 1.43 1.00 0.8 0.62 3.28

Ackattack I have that shift ball also, just can't find it....

Oh and by the way that is a Tri Ax shifter made by Steeda. They go in mustangs and it is the shortest throw shifter that can be bought for the T56.

yeah with the rpms at 70 being at about 1950, It has just a little trouble going up steep inclines.

I used the slip yoke off of my 3 speed and had the driveline shortened I think it was 5 1/2 inches. It has been about 8 months since the install.

I just wanted everyone to see that it is possible to put a Tremec T56 6 speed in your truck.

How much did it cost? I'd LOVE to do this with my truck.

The tranny cost me $2500.00 modiefied with the adapter plate. My truck came from the factory with a 3 speed Saginaw, so I had all the pedals and linkage already in place. I bought a new clutch plate and had the drive shaft shortened. All in all I would say it cost me right around $2800.00. I did a ton of research before I bought it.
