Dirty Bird 54

Good day all. I'm glad this Web site doesn't keep track of your hours logged on...I have done one ls swap before and several builds..57 chevy 65 Lincoln 80 jeep cj 79 k10 and I regret selling them all but life needs money.
I sold my 98 TJ bought a rolling chassis. Bought a 48, and to 54s. Sold them made some cash but kept one for me.

I'm not going to talk good or bad about my chassis because I asked for a sticker or t shirt with my purchase and got nether, so they don't get free advertising from me.
I'm going with a crate ls3 champion 3 core 4l60e and holley efi wire harness. Bags will be controlled by accuair e level system, sent me a couple extra stickers and shirt thanks. Time for some pics..

Re: Dirty Bird 54

Spent some time cleaning the body up and putting a coat of penetrol over everything. Have the gas and air tank brackets mocked up. i think the back wheels will have enough room but i will have to trim the bed walls.

Re: Dirty Bird 54

Looks good! Your balancer clearance should be fine, you'll see a lot of LS motors mounted with very tight tolerances, they just don't shake like older motors. If it bothers you that much you might bend those power steering lines out of the way a little.

Re: Dirty Bird 54

I think if you have that much movement for the lines you will need too worry about "something else" !

Re: Dirty Bird 54

Thanks. Picked up some nova bucket seats out of my friends 66, some nittos 255/35r20 120 a tire, and this bumper for 30 bucks. Im going to cut as much as i can off, this this weighs a TON. There is plenty of room around the engine. Still not sure about where to pick up a trans, wire harness, and glass. Also ordered some grounding wires off of ebay.

The guys at discount tire say that im going to bend those wheels as soon as I hit a pothole???
