Which headers?
Hey guys, im looking to buy a set of Hooker Comp. headers for my lowered square, however, i have very little wiggle room for clearance issues on the bottom side, and id like to still run a full length long tube header, so my question is, which set of headers do i need to sit level with the frame and not cause a major issue with the trans crossmember. Heres what ive been told will work, however the primary tube length on these is 3" longer than the 2WD truck headers, but maybe their not as tall? The car headers also have a 3" collecter vs the trucks 2.5" collector.
http://www.jegs.com/i/Hooker-Headers...rentProductId= Heres the same in a truck header http://www.jegs.com/i/Hooker-Headers...ductId=2470517 Any other suggestions that fit better on a lowered truck is VERY appreciated. Truck is mere inches from the ground!

Re: Which headers?
My car headers and truck headers all seem to be even with the transmission pan. Sometimes I wonder how much difference there really is in Chevy v8 headers. I have never seen any that hang below the trans.

Re: Which headers?
Yes, fit great and tuck. 3/8 flange for a great seal.

Re: Which headers?
Not to side track the thread. But where did you get those upper shock mounts? I need a set like that.

Re: Which headers?
ok well my whole thing is im on a budget so i dont wanna spend more than needed but im not gonna buy a "cheap" product either. im hoping someone here has got some pics of hooker car headers on their truck and can attest to fit/clearances.
