4.8 oil pump keeps going out
Have put 3 in a row in it goes right out anyone ever had this problem

have you thought maybe you have a different problem then the oil pump?

I'm new to this site so hope I'm doing this right I know something is causing it wondering what 3 different oil pumps in a row on a really low miles truck

3 different oil pumps from 3 different places each time changed I put new oil put it in it will run for a few hundred miles then lose all oil pressure don't know why

Is it an actual loss of pressure or just the dash gauge showing a loss? (Bad oil pressure sensor)

It is an actual loss of pressure 3 different oil pumps all bout from different stores so don't really know what is causing it I've talked to several ppl who don't know either thanks for any hrlp

Have you verified pressure with a mechanical gauge?
Does it knock when it looses oil pressure? How many miles are on it? Is the engine worn out? I have never ever seen an oil pump fail on its own. I have seen debris cause one to fail, but at long as you have a screen in the pick up, that cant really happen. Have you taken apart any of the failed pumps to see what happened to them? |

120,000 miles it's knocks when it goes out and there's no pressure don't know if a bearing is going out or what just seeing if anybody has ever seen the problem
