Does anyone else on here that's lowered their truck have any advice on which drop spindles I should get? I'm looking for 2.5" or 3", and I'll be running 15"x8" rallies with 235/75r15 tires for now, likely changing to a 50 series tire down the road.

i am wondering the same thing aswell. im planning a 3 or 4 drop in the front and 4 inch in the rear this winter.

ive heard about some spindles making 15x8 rallies hit the lower control arms but others say they dont.

50 series might be a little too small man i have 60 series on my rallies right now and i think its borderline looking bad lol they are 195/60s on 15x7 rallies

A 245/60 looks good on a 15x8 rally, that's what i'm running
I'm interested in the spindles also, my rallys up front are 15x8 with a 4" BS.

Most 2.5 drop spindles will allow the factory rallies. You may or may not have to run stick on weights because of the control arms getting so close they shave the the standard chip on weights. This will also depend on which lowering spring you use in the front.
Let me explain metric tire size real quick since it confuses most
The 3 number sizes
example: 195-60-15
195 is the tire section width. Take 195/25.4 which gives you 7.7. This is the tread width in inches
The 60 is the side wall height. Is the percentage of the section width.
There are two side walls, one above the wheel to the top of the tire and from the bottom of the wheel to the bottom of the tire.
Now to find the tire height.
[(Section width/25.4) X (side wall height/100) x 2] +wheel size= tire height
example:
[(195/25.4) x (60/100) x 2] +15= 24.21

I've got the 2.5" spindles and cut 1 coil off the factory springs.. I can't remember why, but the 3" spindles was not recommended (it may be because of hitting the 15" rims). I did have some 15x8 rallies on it, and had to use a 1/4" spacer on the front because they did just barely hit the rims.. I currently have 20's on it now, so no problems

I was afraid that you were going to ask that... I can't remember and can't find the stamping on them.. they were a name brand, paid about 280 for the pair if I remember correctly.

im gonna stay away from the 3inch spindles id like to cut 1/2 coil off with 2 1/2 inch spindles and hope for roughly a 3 inch drop in the front then do shackles and hangers in the rear.

any suggestions for drop shocks?

Haha, as far as shocks, mine were fairly new when I did my drop, so I went with the shock extenders and used my original shocks (for the rear). I did a flip kit in the back with no c-notch. As far as the front, I didn't change a thing with the shocks. Still the factory length ones. It's been that way for a little over a year, although I don't drive mine regularly. Search threads on shocks.. I'm sure there's several opinions about what to do.

I've been told western chassis is the brand you want to be able to run your 15x8 rally wheels without rubbing the control arm.

i might just get everything from western chassis they seem to have quality stuff from what i can tell on their website.

everything including shocks and shipping would be round about $600

get western chassis 2.5" spindles you will not have any problems with running rallys

Thanks for the help, I heard the same thing about people having issues with rally wheels or any 15" wheel using drop spindles, I'll probably order western chassis 2.5" spindles today, I think I saw them on summit's website last time I was on there
