my son has 295's on his swb currently on 5 lug rallye's. All looks fine for the rear, but I think the front is not going to work out so well..

no the fronts wont clear at all.
on my 67 short stepper i had to use 255-70-15 on the 8" rallies to clear the fronts. if he wants to sell me those 295-50-15`s he has id be interested

Re: ANY One RUNNING 295 on 15s and a DROP. POST.
The obvious options...
1. Raise the front back up. 2. Get skinnier tires. (what size wheels do you have?) 3. Don't turn corners. The more expensive option. 4. Get a narrowed front end. I'm not running 295s on the front but my front end is narrowed about 1.5" on both sides (3 inches) I've heard some IFS builders will go 2.5" or more (5 inches total) Wheels with a larger back space might help some. (watch out for tie rod, steering linkage clearance)

Heres a 72 with a 6 lug 68 posi fear end under it. On 15x10 steelies with caps.
4" dropped springs in the rear no motor in it currently. 2.5" spindles and 3" springs in front. When I change the rearend back out it will get a 2" block.

Those rollers are 275s or 255s on 6" rims I believe. I'll have to check when I get home Friday night. There is no motor or tranny in that chassis so it's sitting high. I'm pretty sure I'll need the blocks too Michael.

I have those same tires - 295/50R15 on 10" wheels and I'm going with 8" wheels in the front.
