Aftermarket gauge preference

I'm planning to switch my gauges to aftermarket set.

1- New Vintage http://newvintageusallc.mybigcommerc...40-series-blk/
2- Dakota Digital http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.c...rod/prd783.htm
3- Autometer. http://www.autometer.com/mounting-so...irect-fit.html

Any likes or dislikes?

The first 2 offer the gauges already in a housing ready to bolt in like the stock gauges. Autometer on the other hand offers a cluster bezel designed to house the gauges then buy the gauges individual to your liking.

Re: Aftermarket gauge preference

I was not a fan of Dakota digital until the VHX series. They are pretty sweet looking!! I'm thinking of going with those when I swap over to the 64-66 dash.

Re: Aftermarket gauge preference

I'm currently in the process of installing the Dakota digital vhx silver with blue lighting in my crew cab. using the gps speed module with the optional external antenna as well.

Re: Aftermarket gauge preference

it depends on the look you are after. if you want a more custom race inspired look, then autometer is the way to go. i've seen some really setups done with their blank.

i like the new vintage look better. the 1940s you have linked have a very stewart warner look to them. i prefer those or the 1969 series:

the dakota digital might have more features, and better back lighting, can't beat a lifetime warranty either.
