Hey gang!
I just joined today! I have owned a 1971 Cheyenne Super since 2003. I'm in the beginning stages of doing a partial restoration. This project is providing some much needed therapy and enjoyment. My wife and I purchased this truck from a stranger in our local area. A couple of weeks later we drove it to my grandfather's birthday party. Once my dad and grandpa saw the truck they thought it looked just like the truck grandpa purchased brand new. Upon further inspection my dad claimed it was the same truck. I was in disbelief! So just to confirm we checked the title history and found that my grandpa was the original owner. I feel very fortunate to have this truck. As a small child I spent the night in this truck when it had a camper. We even have a picture of my grandparents holding me in front of the truck.
I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions as this family history project moves along.
