Flexplate cover bolts

Ok TH400 TCI streetfighter. .. I know this topic has been beat up but all the info I have found on bolts has not worked. Trying to bolt up my trans sheild, u all know thin metal sheild bottom of trans, 4 bolts..... WHAT are the bolt size and thread type... 1/4 inch/20 thread will not fit. Nor will 6mm... what u all got?

it actually should be 1/4 -20
you might have to clean the threads.
do you know what year your trans is?

Some of the old cases took a largish sheet metal screw with a 3/8 head on it

The trans body is drilled and tapped for 1/4-20. A shot of carb cleaner or WD-40 through the supplied straw will blow most of the crud out of the threads then finish cleaning them up with a thread chaser, not a tap.
