what size wheels can I use

I have a 76 gmc 1500 that has a 4" drop in the front and 5" in the rear. My question is what is the biggest wheel I can use? It currently has 15's on it now and it doesnot look like I have a ton of room left. I don't really want to cut the wheel wells.

You can easily run a 8"-8.5" wide wheel up front and a 10" wide wheel in the back.
(unless you are talking tire diameter)
Hard to tell what you meant.

you can do 22" but would have to use a thin tire....but you can do 20" with a good tire no problem

27" up front and 29" on the rear would be a good combo.

I don't know what diameter WHEELS you are talking about,...
but in 20's a 245/40 or 255/40 on the front
and a 275/40 or 295/40 on the back.
