Amplified Hide-Away Antenna. Work ??

My 86 has the radio antenna in the windshield, and my windshield is cracked. So I was thinking of having a plane windshield without the antenna option. And using one of these type antenna's. LMC sells one and you can find them on E-bay. Under the dash units. Are they worth it, I listen to local radio and Ipod.

Thanks Ken

I had one many many years ago that I got from JCW. It wasn't real great. I could get the local stations when I was in town but they faded pretty quickly. It wasn't terrible, but not as good as a real antenna.

I wish every vehicle had an antenna in the windshield. That was the best idea ever. I need a hideaway too, to replace worn out power antennas in my cars.

Harley Davidson sells one that works very good for there baggers. I used one for years with no problem. But it's mounted under fiberglass rather than steel.
