2wd square body blazers

i know the 70-72 versions are highly sought after. but i'm not too familiar with the 73-up trucks. wondering how a stock 70's 2wd blazer desirability compares. original paint, hub caps, etc. also, what if anything would be special to look for?

thanks.

They are uni-corns and nobody really worries about stock stuff as the whole point is to drop them.

You would probably have a better chance of meeting the actual Santa Clause than finding a rust free original paint/chrome 2wd blazer or Jimmy. If you do find one you could almost name your price.....

Re: 2wd square body blazers

I don't think they are near as rare as the 72 and earlier. They periodically show up on Phoenix CL. They sell for decent money just not what I would.consider a ton. I usually seen clean original 4x4s at higher prices but it may just be a regional thing.

I think it's a regional thing. Around here they are getting at least double the money that the 4WD versions get in the same condition.

Re: 2wd square body blazers

Even the 4X4 are a hard find up here.
I've been wondering how rare the jimmys are, can't really find much info
but
if there was about(1 gmc made for every 9 chev)
then break that down to blazer/jimmy in 4X2
In town I've only seen 1 Jimmy 4X2 full top with a 454
a OMG rough 81 blazer 4X2= stock
and both the 78 and 79 i found,lived 3+ hours from me.
I was busy helping at a show and, i met this guy who has another red 79.....
Not sure if he believed me lol but i gave him my number, said he's had it in town 15 yrs.
otherwise i've seen none

Re: 2wd square body blazers

My friend had 2 original Chevy 2wd blazers for a while but they were 82 and a 86. 4 wheel drive trucks seem really expensive in Phoenix yet in Colorado they are relatively cheap. I think it is just certain areas have more or one type or another which reflects in the prices. California seems to be very big on lowered trucks.

Re: 2wd square body blazers

location location location lol for sure.
some think these are hacked up trucks, not made stock
I have people knock on the door asking if the red truck is for sale.....
wife says (red) cause it looks like it's parked for sale.
a kid came by and asked,
I said no,he shows up a week later ripping around in a f@&d Ronco.
i guess gender didn't matter lol,
lady next door didn't think it ran till we cleared out the yard with it

If it was an 86, it wasnt a factory 2wd. They stopped making them in 82.

Ya, the more I think about it they were almost the same blazers must have been 81-82. I know he sold the 82 for $2500 withe original paint and it was straight.
