Talking stepside bed step hangers

Hello to all, a friend of mine has a 72 Chevy C10 stepside. He is trying to find a set of hangers for the steps. I looked in all my catalogs and found only one catalog that has them but only from 60 to 66. I even tried different web sites with no luck. Do 72 stepsides have hangers? Does anyone know anything about this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, George

Re: stepside bed step hangers

I haven't been able to find any either. Pretty sure I'm going to have to make them. Both mine snapped when I tried taking them off the frame.

Re: stepside bed step hangers

Making them is a good idea, unless you can get some from another 72 stepside from a rust free parts place.

Nobody don't reproduce them. If somebody wanted to send me a set I would have them made.

Re: stepside bed step hangers

Hi Mike, I know nothing about this but my friend says they are shaped like an L. If that is what you have will they fit a 72 stepside?

Re: stepside bed step hangers

Are you referring to these?

Did you lose them or were they toast? I'm originally from NY too and it seems that even up there these usually survive in usable shape... not always though...

Re: stepside bed step hangers

I would assume those are what my friend needs. I'd like to find a set for his 72. Would a set from a 60's fit 70's?

Re: stepside bed step hangers

The bedsides and steps varied throughout the generations, so no, 1966 and older nor 1973+ will work on your truck... HOWEVER they are all the same from 67-72, both long and short step.
