I just discovered
Steve McQueen owned a 1952 chevy 3800
and it just sold on Ebay for $98 large

Purposeful old beast and nice looking for its intended use. I don't see near $100,000 but I'm not particularly a celebrity appreciator.

Ditto dan...its just a nice truck some famous guy owned..means nothing to me but it did to somebody...I read where they were expecting 150 large..seller lowered reserve when it got into the 90s..

I was thinking the same thing, $9800 for an untouched original in prime condition. Yes, I'll take one thank you. I'm gonna get somebody important to drive mine around, take some pictures and ask 50K for it. Wait a minute...I don't know anybody important. Dang it, that just cost me 30K.
