Should my vent window open in or out?

Ive searched pics and threads and cannot find my answer. When you open the vent window on your 72 c10, do you push the vent window out to open it, or do you pull it in? Right now, my vent windows push out which makes it so the window blocks any air from coming in the cab. Just want to make sure it was installed correctly.

the back of the window should tilt out, i've always found that if i open them to the max (past 90 degrees) that the passenger side blows lots of air at drivers side and vice versa

That is correct, if you push it a little further it will direct air into the cab.

When you say the back are you referring to the part of the window closest to the door hinges? If thats the case, then mine is opening wrong. Mine opens with the back tilting in and all it does is block the wind. I get a lot more air in the cab leaving it closed. It seems like if it opened the other way, ie with the latch going in instead of out that the glass would direct more air into the cab. Mine opens like the picture....Is yours opening the opposite way? Thanks for the help btw...

full open, it will blow a lot of air into the cab. One of my favorite features of these old trucks.

Ok..then mine IS correct. Good to know thanks!

My mirror gets in the way when I try to fold it all the way out but thats an easy fix. I do wish it would open a little further than it does so I could direct more air at my face. I guess I better get my AC hooked back up.

I really appreciate the info guys!

It's a nice shot of air too, and that's before you open the vents, which I tend to forget is even there. Only downside of that is if you forget it's there, like I did, once opened you get blasted. Mine blew out all kinds of stuff, despite being garaged most of its life.

Hahaha! But in Texas the deputies probably pull you over to mess with you over those stickers and not the rifle racks!
