Parting out 75% restored, all original 1965 Suburban
I hate to part this out but it must go in pieces unless someone wants to take over this project. If you are interested in anything, please let me know and make an offer. Thanks.
I am parting out or selling a 1965 Suburban project that already has a massive amount of work done. I do not have the time to finish, unfortunately. This is the hard to find barn door model. There is over $20k invested. I am asking $5000 OBO or trade for 4x4 crawler wheeler , enclosed trailer , flatbed trailer , 4x4 quad , side by side , atv , skid steer , bobcat , tractor , hot rod , motorcycle , snowcat , snow machine , excavation equipment , commuter car , etc. Almost anything of value that isn't a project. I don't have time for projects right now, which is the only reason for selling this project. Cash on either end is ok. This is a one owner, all original parts and original drivetrain, with original Washington State title. -Inline 292 , transmission, rearend, suspension, brakes, etc are all completely rebuilt. -The drivetrain and chassis is completely overhauled, powdercoated and finished, ready to go. -Wheels and hubcaps powdercoated with new tires plus spare. -Seats and all interior panels are finished. -Majority of parts are powdercoated and awaiting final assembly -The body and all the panels have been completely acid dipped by American Metal Cleaners and awaiting metal work. There is some rust, but that is typical with these trucks. I do have some of the patch panels, but more are required to complete the repairs. -New windshield, new radiator, new tires, and more. Basically all that is left to do is the metal work, body and paint, and then final assembly. There's still a lot to do but certainly a good head start on a perfectly done restoration. I will entertain trades, just no projects please. That's the only reason for selling or trading this truck. Please call, text or email for more info. More pictures available upon request. Thanks for looking. 253 two five zero 6221 |

Re: Parting out 75% restored, all original 1965 Suburban
Thanks. I hope someone is able to finish this as well. All parts are original to that suburban and I hate to break them up. I'm moving and can't take it with me. It would be a great deal for someone wanting to build one of these, and with a really good head start. The body and all the sheetmetal alone cost just over $3k to have dipped and alot in powdercoating as well on top of everything else. It kills me to not be able to finish this and drive my family around in it, but that life I guess
Is there a way to attach additional pictures to show just how much is completed? Any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking Josh Last edited by Oldgold360; 08-28-2015 at 09:24 PM. |

No problem. If you go to reply and then scroll down to additional options and hit manage attachments, you can add 5 pictures each reply. Great project! Hopefully someone takes the whole thing!

So is the body on it now? I saw the ad in the trucks for sale section and it was just in to many pieces to have it shipped east.

Re: Parting out 75% restored, all original 1965 Suburban
Yes, I should have clarified this. If anyone is interested in this Suburban, everything will be consolidated and fit into or onto the vehicle in order to ship it like a typical vehicle. All the parts and pieces spread out over the floor was done only to photograph the parts. All those pieces are bubble wrapped and put back into boxes. I am willing to help anyway I can with shipping.
Any other questions, please ask. Thanks, Josh |

Do you have everything to put it back together? Glass, wiring, gauges, rear bumper, etc?

Re: Parting out 75% restored, all original 1965 Suburban
I have most everything. It'll need a wiring harness, weatherstripping and some other small items but most is there and already restored. I do have a new windshield, but was gonna have a local glass shop cut the remaining piece since they are flat. The gauge cluster and everything else that goes in the dash is restored and ready for assembly. The rear bumper and bumper brackets are powder coated and ready for assembly as well.
Any other questions, please ask. |

Good Luck with sale. I was hoping to see a board member pick this up. If only I had the funds.

Wish You Had put that it was shippable in the first ad. I would have jumped on it.

That's great news. Was a board member able to pick this up? I would really like to see it finished.

Awesome! I'm also curious about what 71Sleeper asked...
