Re: WTB: 4.56 gear

It's new, Dana Drivetrain brand. I will not be back in town until next Thursday. It is overstock from several years ago. I work for a drivetrain rebuilder for heavy duty trucks and we ventured into the light duty market but it didn't sell well. I will get you a price with shipping when I get back if you want to wait that long.

Thanks,
Mark

Is it something that will handle lots of torque? Looking at performance pro RP as well. I have no problem with this one if it will handle what I throw at it.

Re: WTB: 4.56 gear

They no longer market that line. it is not a performance gearset. It is a stock replacement type.
The part number is GM12-8875-456

Re: WTB: 4.56 gear

The R/P kit is $175 and includes only the gearset. The R/P master kit includes the gearset, all bearings, gaskets, shims, ring gear bolts, pinion nut, crush sleeve, pinion seal. The R/P master kit is $250. Prices are plus actual shipping. Let me know if interested

Thanks,
Mark

Re: WTB: 4.56 gear

I bought my 4:56 from Yukon, along with the bearing kits. And bought an Eaton posi at the same time. Just my preference: I'd buy new before I buy a used gear set.

It was made for Dana Corp in China, marketed as a less expensive alternative to the Spicer line. Yes they offered the Drivetrain brand for corporate differentials, GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota. We have a few sets left for GM 12 bolt truck rears, nothing for the 12 bolt car. Also have some for the Ford 9" left as well.
