72 Grille Question
Forgive me for my ignorance, I am very new to the C10 world. I purchased a 72lwb last month. I am starting to tinker a bit, would I be able to use the inner grille from a 70 in place of my 72?

Re: 72 Grille Question
First off, Welcome to the board! The inner grille of a 70 is completely differnet than a 72. You would have to use both the Outer and Inner grille's in order to do your swap, and in that case you could. 69 and 70 outers are the same and the inners are just slightly different between 69 and 70. 71 and 72 grilles are much closer to each other, if not the same. Post up some pictures of your new ride when you get a chance.

Re: 72 Grille Question
That was a quick reply, thanks. I guess I should have been more specific. I want to know if I can do a swap because I like the look of the 70 better. Will the innerror and outer bolt right in the 72?

Re: 72 Grille Question
The entire 69/70 grill assembly can be interchanged with the entire 71/72 assembly. There isn't anything on the grills that really interchange between the years other than clips.
The turn signals are in the 69/70 grill, and in the 71/72 bumper, so you'd have to figure that out as well. |

Re: 72 Grille Question
Welcome to the board. Great looking truck you have already. If you switch over to a 69-70 grill set up you will a 69-70 center grill brace also. They are different than the 71-72's
