72 K10 swb
Need some brake info. I put a D60 front axle and HO72 rear axle under the truck. Going to run 4 wheel disc brakes. I bought this truck as a basket case. Putting it back together Pc X Pc. I need to know what proportional valve to use for the rear disc brakes (Disc to Disc or Disc to Drum with an added Adjuster). Also need the brake line sizes to use for front and back. Any info will be a great help. Thank's

My full size jeep has a gm 60, 14bolt with the standard k20 caliper and rotor rear disk set up. Running a '86 k30 master cylinder and hydro boost. It stops very well and even with the rear locking first but not early. No prop valve at all. 3/16" hard lines to the front and rear with #3 flex lines.

Prop. valve is to send higher line pressure to front calipers, and lower line pressure to rear wheel cylinders. Seems like there's no need for a prop. valve with discs all around.

Summit has valves that are adjustable for rear disk. if you have to muck break in the rear you could find your self swapping ends while driving.

I would think that an adjustable valve for the rear would be the way to go. The rear is much lighter than the front and would tend to lock up before the front. With the adjustable valve you could dial in just how much pressure you need for your set-up.

I don't disagree. I plumbed mine that way originally, but ended up removing the valve for another project because I have never adjusted it from full open. A wilwood port summit brand adjustable(order the summit brand. It says wilwood under the summit sticker) valve is pretty cheap and only adds a few extra flares and fittings in. The front to rear weight bias on your truck may make it necessary.
