2 inch square stupid question, need ideas

you know how hard it is to find a good dash pad right? well I got one out of one of the Blazers I scrapped and i desperately needed one for the 84 , but the guy had a 2" square spot cut out of the pad near the leftmost duct. I am trying to find anything that will fit into the cutout that would be useful. compass, clock, thermometer what ever. give me an idea . the cutout does not go all the way through. he simply cut the vinyl away. I thought I remembered there being a thermometer that was that size but i went to the local napa & advance auto but could not find anything but a birdseye mirror and I'm not that vain. let me know if you stumble across anything t hat would work. thanx. DAVE

Take a walk through any Pep-Boys and you should be able to find a million things to glue to your truck

try some expandable foam.....foam it up big, let it harden, shave off the excess, try to paint it.
