Question Which re-pop steering wheel to buy?

I currently have a mid-80's Chevy wheel in my '71 GMC and I absolutely HATE it. It is one of those weird plastic ones that everything sticks to and when it gets damp, it all comes off on your hands. So for my 18th birthday, I'm going to buy myself a new re-pop steering wheel. I know some of you guys would rather me find an old OEM one, and I would love to myself, but they are very scarce (or at least finding a nice one worth my time) in the KCMO area. So my question is, which manufacturer makes the highest quality (or that anyone can tell) new stock steering wheel? I appreciate any help!

Re: Which re-pop steering wheel to buy?

if your open to aftermarket styles, i like the gt grant wooden oak style wheel.
the real wood grain one with the aluminum brushed spokes(?)

gives for a real clean look with the wood grain kinda sporty but classy looking at the same time.

as for oem, i see them all the time restored and not on the classifieds on here from board members. seen some real nice ones!

idk about the re-pops however.

I have the parchment interior with the sandalwood steering wheel, column, cluster bezel, dash pad, and glove box door, but i know they don't make re-pop sandalwood wheels, so I'm planning on buying a saddle brown for now.

My truck is no-looker, so for now, I'm just trying to go back to stock until i can make her a little prettier. Later down the road though, that may be a possibility. Thanks!

Re: Which re-pop steering wheel to buy?

I think we need some pictures of this "no-looker" so we can judge for ourselves...
