67-72 C10 4-6 Drop
Ok so i lowered my front suspension 4 inches, on my 68' C10, and i bought 6" lowering springs ONLY for the rear, but before i install them i want to see some pictures that you guys might have of your trucks lowered on a 4-6 drop to have an idea of how low mine will look in the rear, go ahead and post some pictures on this thread of a 4-6 drop or a 6" rear drop. Thank You.

Re: 67-72 C10 4-6 Drop
I've taken my 68c10 through a couple of drop stages. Shock relocators are a must with good shocks. First stage was 4" drop, then relocators, then 1" blocks, no "C" notch, shaved the bump stops, have hauled 1.000 lbs many times with pavers inside the box and handled it well with only bump stop getting touched a couple of times. 18" rims and 28.5" tires that don't rub anywhere with my 2 1/2 dropped spindles up front. All parts except 1" blocks from ECE, fantastic service. Personally i would shy away from 6" drop springs because shocks would have a limited travel being compressed.
The 1-2" blocks move the differential up (lower stance) but would basically have the suspension working with the 4" drop spring. As a comparison the 6" spring only would take 2" out of the suspension travel that you need. I have owned my truck for 12 years and can honestly saw that the truck rides the best it ever has right now. And handles the best with the "make it handle" thread applied, but not fully done yet. |

Yes, shock re-locators out back are a must, I believe an adjustable panard bar is also needed to center the rear axle. All of my components are CPP.
