I bought It ! !

I bought this 72 3/4 Ton 4x4 Cheyenne Super a couple weeks ago. It has the 350/350 A/C cab etc. etc. Very little rust except that front right fender needs changed. Firewall, Cab corners ect. are all really clean. I'm really excited! Been waiting a long time to find a good deal on a Super!
Paid $2,000 I think it was a good deal.

sounds like a damn good score to me, but I am from Ohio. I would probably pay twice that for that particular truck, if I happened to be in the market.

Lucky sucker, i've been looking for a truck like that for that price for a long time. I'm with 1969 GMC, i would have paid 3500-4000 for that truck.

I got tired of looking at overpriced junk so finally decided to put my own together out of a '71 GMC K2500 and a very original '71 GMC C1500. It will be some work but at least I'll know whats in it. Sounds like you scored a great deal! I already have $3K into mine and haven't even started the swapping work yet!

Hey imdarren- When you resize the pics they only have to be less than 640x480...not as small as you have them. Give it a try, they will look better.

looks like a good start. There are so many 67-72 truck for sale around here, that they do not ask as much, but if thats the truck you wanted then you cant put a price on it. Let's face it, anytime you by one of these trucks its worth every bit.

Thanks for the kind words.
My plans . . . . .
I already tore out the red neck wiring and CB / power booster under the dash.
1) Replace the bent up front bumper.
2) Install a new front grill (it has a bent up aftermarket tube grill)
3) Install a new HEI
4) Fix the heater controls (Winter is on it's way boys)
5) Replace the bed with one off my 72 GMC. It's flawless! Like NEW!
6) New aluminun wheels and tires
7) Painted 2 tone Blue / White (The dark blue on the new chevy trucks)

Basically, get it back to new / original. Maybe a new crate motor next summer.
Thanks for the compliments guys!

Darren

Looks good man. Always nice to have more than one. I may start looking for another one since my daughter wants to steal my 96 when she gets her license later this year.

The funny thing is . . . . . . .
It sat on the side of a main road (off of interstate 84) in Cascade Locks Oregon for around 6 months. And nobody bought it.
It's funny how you can find sweet deals in little towns still

GREAT find!!! Awesome price too, you don't find them like that around here, if there that good of shape around here it brings $3500 or better. You got to love it when you find deals like that!!
