rear tire is rubbing
It is a 70 sub and my passenger rear wheel rubs against the well. I recently installed a differential and notches. I was unsure of the diff as a friend gave it to me because it was not a posi.
thanks in advance |

You say notches? Are you talking about a c notch in the frame? If you lowered the sub without changing the track bar the rear will shift to the side.

your wheel may just have the wrong offset. slap some 15x8's with factory offset on the rear and you shouldn't have any problems.

is it the sidewall hitting the wheel arch on one side and not the other?? ifso than you have to get an adjustable panhard bar properly installed to center the rear end. if the tread is hitting the top of the wheelwell you have to either raise the truck up or fabricate new wheelwells for clearance or go to smaller diameter tires

What cd said where is it rubbing? If you have the ECE kit you have the adj. track bar did you adjust it to center the axle in the frame?I have 275-50/15 on 15x10 and have no problems in fact I'm going with 295's on the rear soon.

rubbing
I had the same problem with my burb and I had 7'' wheels with 255/70 tires. I had ece kit and adjusted the bar several times. One thing I did notice about mine when I sold the burb I removed the bags and the shock on the passenger side was shot. That could be it or it may just be a problem with the burbs.??? I thought I was the only one that had that problem.
