Wiper Motor Seal
Hoping for some information. The attached photos came from a post by vendor Wes Hepp.
I think he sells these, but I haven't received an answer from him yet. I need to know if this is a grommet type seal that is on the exterior of the cowl; or if it's on the motor under the linkage arm. It would help if someone could tell me size also. I need the wiper motor mount screws too. Having great difficulty locating a vendor for those. The thread pitch is 8-24 but it's a weird style. I may have to plug weld a 3/8 nut to an 8-32 flat head screw to make a reasonable copy. Don't know what else to do. Late model chevy wiper motors use metric screws which don't fit.

Not sure about the seal, most of the ones I have taken out have a putty type seal between the motor and the inside of the firewall. If you want to PM me your address I will send you a set of screws for mounting the motor to the bracket. LockDoc

Re: Wiper Motor Seal
use neoprene foam rubber sheets for my gaskets. I drill with a hole saw to OD size. Works great.

Re: Wiper Motor Seal
Thank you sir.
If it works in Alaska; it's gotta work in Florida!

Re: Wiper Motor Seal
The great thing about my neopreme gasket material is , I use old day care mats that are different colors. I can color coordinate if I wish. I can trim down to any thickness for my application. Yes it stays flexiable to seal against the harsh weather here in Alaska .
