Panel/Burb fit on a pickup frame?

I bet this one has been covered but will a panel/burb body fit onto a pickup frame? are the mounts the same?

I've been thinking that since I have the pickup now, I can get the body to a useable point and focus on getting the drivetrain/frame/suspension I want and then save my pennies and drop a suburban body onto it.

Sorry if this is a repost

Greg

i berlieve the tail portion of the PU frame does noit have the drop to mount the rear bumper, but all the mounts should be the same, I have a '66 panel, but the frames are the same, except for the last 20" or so.

The three mounts on top of the sub frame in the rear cargo are ( like the box area on a truck) will need to be put on the truck frame and truck box mounts taken off. I think is three maybe four.
Been a while. The rear cab support mount on the frame will have to be swapped also... 2 wd and 4x4 mount at about a 3/4 inch difference... but you haven't said what your drive line is.

The frame wil be shorter on the rear truck frame due to trucks typically having the frame cut shorter for a different style bumper typically. But theres enough there to mount the sub body on for sure.....you could always add a piece cut off the sub frame or just make longer bumper mounts. Rod

I went the other way a few years back... that Blue 70 GMC 3/4 4x4 on the front page of GMC Pauls web page was my 70 3/4 suburban 4x4 at one time. It was made into a truck...I didnt realize that the burb was that rare being an automatic 3/4 4x4 at the time... but the restoration of the 70 GMC Sierra Grande turned out very good.... has AC tilt , 67-68 buckets, detroit locker tinted glass, factory slider, NP205, 350-350.
