big gap between fender and door

Here I go again
I just got these fenders .. Used .. Free .. And doing some placement trials when I notice linning up some bolt holes that I have the snake river canyon between the door and fender.

The inner fender wells are aftermarket and so is the radiator support .. Both inners measure the same length and even the fenders measure the same.

Something tells me I'm gonna be pulling the whole clip off again

I have never heard anything good about the repop parts, check bolt hole locations to original to make sure there not pushing fenders forward.

Re: big gap between fender and door

I wonder if the people selling the reproduction parts have ever put them together to see what there selling.
I still have the inner fenders so I can check the hole location but when in place the cab holes are to the rear of the fender holes and the inner well are more forward of the fender holes.

It looks like if I base my zero hole on the cab holes the gap will definitely be more in spec then it will be more about getting the light will and the whole nose section in line

That fender hole def tells the story, your inner holes are wrong, probably easier to elongate your fender holes, or buy OEM inners.

Re: big gap between fender and door

Some people have had to remove the inner fender front brackets and relocate them to get things to fit. I ended up not using the repop stuff I had, and either fixed or found replacement OEM stuff, just didn't want the hassle of the repops.

Re: big gap between fender and door

Your absolutely right .. These phony OEM as they call them are really a hassle to even line up holes with the mated piece from the same manufacturer .. I even bought this stainless inner and outer bolt kit that has no explanation of what goes where .. I mean come on .. Its like hey here's some bolts .. Good luck
