chassis sswap with a 85 El Camino?
has anyone or know anyone that has done a frame swap for a 47-54 pickup with a 1985 el camino frame ? the wheel base is 117" and has everything allready setup for a v8

With a bit of work it will fit. Challenge is that the gbody chassis is a perimeter frame which wants to share the same space as the running boards and the bottoms of the frt fenders.
My burb is on one. PO cut the fenders to fit and the front of the running boards are push out a few inches further then they should be. There are a few out there that narrowed the perimeter of the frame to fit nicely and looked good, we but was a bit of work. I'm in the process of rebuilding a original frame for mine since it isn't as clean as I would like.
