dizzy question

hi all,a while back i purchased a pertronix distributor and coil.(haven't installed yet)the more i read the more i am getting cold feet regarding failure,tachs not working,leaving key on and frying unit,etc.i'm now thinking i should have just got a gm hei and be done with it!any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.also,anyone know a good place to purchase a new gm unit?thanks for any help.......dan

I'd go with a HEI. Summit racing has a lot of options.
