Lowering and Pinion angle
Hi all,
86" C10 with 5.3 and 6L80 lowered truck 2/4 with belltech. I have a wobble I thought I had figured out but it is still there. Spindles are stock and I thought the drivers side was the problem but I put new bearings on and all checked out. I have talked about this before and here is the thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=666758 I am about to purchase shims but I also want to change the angle of the transmission so I can match the 3* down and 3* down as in this picture on the top regarding leaf spring rear-ends. ![]() To do this, I would need an 8* shim in pinion and raise the trnas approx 1/4 inch. For anyone who has a 2/4 lift, what did you do for the angle or did you even need to do anything? Does any of this make sense? am I on the right path? Or should I not move the trans and just shim as noted in the provided link ? This angle stuff is confusing the heck out of me and this wobble is driving me nuts!
