68 K20 and 66 G30 big drum brakes interchange

I have a 68 k20 with the eaton rear

I also have access to a 1966 G30 walk in van.

Will the G30 rear drum set up bolt onto my 68 rear.

Clearly the G30 rear drum set up is bigger.

What did the factory do for front brakes when you had a Dana 44 front axle and k30 brakes.

I'm Not sure about the brake interchange. It will depend on the rear end in your k/20 and the rear end in the van. If say they were both Dana 60s or eaton ho52's than it would be likely you could swap them. As for the brakes with Dana 44 in a k/30 there were no factory 67-72 k/30s.

Re: 68 K20 and 66 G30 big drum brakes interchange

the are both eaton rears.

if I had the optional HO72 rear in my k20 what would the front brakes look like? how would the factory have upgraded the front drum brake assembly, (closed knuckle 44,) to compliment the rear upgrade.

I also have access to 58 GMC 252 big rear drum set up. any interchange between that and the 68 . it does not have the park brake in the drum. lets stay away from the park brake issue for now.
