brake light and oil light....

My brake light and oil light come on when my truck is just parked....but both are dim. My Oil light is not on the cluster, its a idiot light I have just hangin out until I decide to hook up my gauge again. regardless....both come on when I'm not looking I guess, I get back to my truck and TA-DA they are on. I have no problems with my brakes and no oil problems. AS soon as I start it up they both go away. if I shut off the truck they stay off until maybe the next time they may come back on ...I dunno, weird.
Thanks guys
-Roger

It sounds like a short is grounding them out somewhere.

This is off topic but, did you ever find out where that oil leak you had was coming from?

My first longhorn did this, i took out the bulbs and hooked up some cheap wall mart guages.
turned out I was right and there was nothing wrong.
