Re: Rare Dually don't Laugh
The elusive "rare dually". How fortunate we are to finally see it.

Re: Rare Dually don't Laugh
I love when people post of a vehicle for sale sitting on a trailer or flatbed. Makes me automatically question how well it runs or if it has any issues.

Re: Rare Dually don't Laugh
Not my cup of coffee, but you do have to give him points for trying.....it is different. Most of us have seen Denos dually he did....much the same concept.
I think with some minor mods it could be a cool looking ride. The fenders need completed, I'd replace the tailgate for a period one and needs some roll pan work or back bumper reinstalled.

Re: Rare Dually don't Laugh
If they could replicate the "Bump" line from the rear fenders that sticks past the tailgate, onto the tailgate (like the Cameo pickups did), then it would look like more of a singular concept.
I've seen dually's done a handful of times, but usually its on the longbed stepside so either the box or fenders can just be split and widened.

Re: Rare Dually don't Laugh
Hmm I wonder if the post was "Hey guys look what I just bought" rather than "Look what I found on craigslist" would the comments be the same? Just thinking out loud.

I don't think it should stop anyone from personally enjoying it, or even better, finding a way to take something we all hate and turn it into something we all like. On the other hand, think about stuff like stick on portholes and terrible vinyl stickers; we ALL agree they are tasteless. Much like fashion, I suppose HOW something is done can make even the least popular mod flourish. Hella-flush and stanced cars really really don't do it for me, and they are mechanically impractical....yet every once and a while I see one done so well that I appreciate it from an artistic perspective if nothing else.

Re: Rare Dually don't Laugh
Would make a great early 60s style custom, lots of metal flake paint and candies.

I think the general sentiment of this particular thread is "oh look, another person who's light in the head who knows nothing about our generation of trucks and thinks it's super rare, and therefore is demanding a ballsy asking price"
