Vehicle Speed sensor .?

I got a c1500 91' 350 ,

CEL showed up and i pulled out the codes , on of the codes was number 24 which is vehicle speed sensor, all i wanna know is what vss do and where it located.?

The Vehicle Speed Sensor signals to the ECM the current speed at which the vehicle is traveling. The ECM uses this information to help determine the correct gear ratio for the transmission and when to engage the transmission torque converter lock-up.

The VSS connector is found on the transmission body itself. Different transmissions have different specific locations.

My trans is 700r4 , I actually have an issue every time i try to accelerate i hear strange sound comeing from the torque converter, do you think it had something with the vss ?

VSS issues will affect shift timing. What kind of noise?

Its like when you drive manual and the clutch not engaging correctly or something like that

Plus if i drive above 95 mph then decelerate,check engine light turns on
