brake pedal return spring

hi , can someone please post a pic of the stock brake pedal return spring installed for 57 truck? my brake lights werent shutting off, and i determined that i have a really long brake pedal spring that was getting jammed up on the top of my master cylinder.

i looked on ebay, and it looks like the stock spring is a pretty small spring...

Re: brake pedal return spring

I had the same issue with the brake peddle and light on my 59.
The stock spring I had was rusted through so I bought a HD spring at the hardware store and some cable and hooked it up

Re: brake pedal return spring

thank you for the reply. when i originally searched, i didnt realize i was looking at springs for a 1957 car...
i searched again and found what the stock one for trucks looks like....
just curious where its supposed to attach on the rear end of the spring, and does it matter which direction it faces?
